I was really young when my cousin passed away so there's not much I remember. The one thing that is
still fresh in my head is the morning we got the phone call. It was in the middle of the night when
the phone rang. I was sleeping with my nana when she answered it. My cousin burned to death in his
own home. from what I can remember he was sleeping on his couch. He did end up waking up and tried
to get out but by then he breathed in so much smoke that he colapsed. His dog Toby was laying
underneath his trailer but survived. He was loved by so many people. The day before it happened he
and my mom were talking and he told her that his worst fear of dying was in a fire. It breaks my
heart to know that that is how he died. We miss and love you very much.

I WANT YOU TO KNOW

A brief moment of darkness
was all that I knew,
before Heaven's Gate
came into my view.

Loved ones and friends
I had missed for many years,
welcomed me with open arms
and many happy tears.

All the hurt, fear and pain
that I have ever known,
is gone from my life,
I am finally home.

I gazed upon the Lord's
sweet smiling face,
and for the first time in my life
I knew and felt His grace.

I know that you miss me,
but please dry your eyes.
I will always be watching and loving you
from my home in the sky.

A cool breeze on your face,
a touch of light rain,
I will send as a reminder
that we will be reunited again.

Life on earth is but one
brief moment in time,
I am finally home,
Eternity is mine.
